Audix TR40
The TR40 microphone is the first in a series of test and recording microphones specially designed by Audix. The TR40 features a quarter-inch diameter pre-polarized condenser capsule with omnidirectional polar pattern. It delivers the extremely linear frequency response characteristics that Audix microphones are known for worldwide. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 19 kHz ( /- 1dB).
Many engineers prefer the phase coherent response that a mic such as the TR40 delivers. Its omnidirectional capsule is ideal for certain studio and live recording applications, such as piano, musical ensembles, and choirs. Another application in which the TR40 excels is ambient tracks frequently recorded by engineers to "open up" or add dimension to a track or a mix. Because of its flat frequency response, the TR40 can be positioned easily in any room to capture the room’s natural sound.
"Engineers have been using test and measurement mics in the recording studio for a number of years due to their smooth, linear frequency response," says Cliff Castle, Audix Vice President of Sales. "The TR40 will knock out engineers who are looking for a flat, smooth-sounding omnidirectional microphone. The mic can easily withstand very high SPL of more than 140 dB, making it an ideal choice for close miking a variety of instruments in studio or live recording applications," Castle says. Because of its flat linear response, the TR40 is a cost-effective solution as a test and measurement mic. The Audix TR40 is made of rugged machined aluminum and features a gold-plated XLR connector at the base.
The TR40 is available from authorized Audix dealers at a suggested retail price of $249 (US) and comes with a carrying case and clip. Stereo matched pairs are available at a suggested retail price of $559 (US) with frequency response charts included.

베링거와 별다른 특성이 없을 것 같은 걱정을 가지고 구입했지만 하이대역에서 좀 차이가 나더군요...
위상특성도... 행사나 교회예배때 유용하게 사용하고 있습니다. 보통의 SR용 스피커를 튜닝할때는 별 무리없이 사용할 수 있습니다. 그러나 좀 고급기종으로 올라갈 수록 또 클러스가 형성이 될 수록 좀 신뢰도 떨어 지는느낌을 지울 수 없더군요... 그래서 이때는 m30을 가지고 작업을 하곤 합니다. 아무튼 좋은 마이크임은 틀림없습니다... -

보통 베링거 제품 많이 사용하시는데요..
좀 더 좋은 제품 사용해 보고 싶어서 질렀습니다.
근데.. 생각보다 많이 사용되지 않아서.. 조금 아쉬운 생각이 듭니다. -
