Building upon the outstanding legacy of our thin shell Masters Custom MMX drums, our 6 ply Masters Custom MRX offers increased power and superb projection for the prefect compromise between player and audience. Their warm full bodied tone offers great sensitivity and sustain for a very ’live’ sound. Our MasterCast hoops and OptiMount Suspension System provide MRX with a more focused, solid and very explosive tom sound, and a wider tuning range for the prefect compliment to any musical style. MRX mounted toms feature MasterCast die cast hoops for improved attack, focus, and noticeably clearer definition. Mounted toms also include Pearl’s OptiMount Suspension System featuring four-point mounting for unparalleled stability, resonance and sustain. TH-100I dual-tilt infinitely adjustable Uni-Lock tom holders allow simultaneous up/down/left/right positioning for unlimited angling possibilities and improved ease of use. MRX mounted toms are available in standard, alternative, and power depths from 8’ to 16’ in diameter.

Bass drums feature D-054 claws with rubber gaskets to protect the beauty of the MRX’s hoops. Recessed tension rod receivers prevent accidental tension changes for set-and-forget tuning. MRX bass drums are offered in standard and power depths in diameters ranging from 18’ to 24’ . Standard features include SP-30 spurs, BB-3 bass bracket, and Remo Powerstroke3 bass drum heads.

Two MRX snare drums are offered: the MRX-1455S (14’x5.5’) and MRX-1465S (14’x6.5’). Both feature: 6 ply 7.5mm 100% maple shells for outstanding attack and presence, MasterCast die cast hoops, SR-015 vertical pull strainer, bridge lugs, Stainless Steel tension rods with brass tension receivers, and Remo Ambassador heads.

MRX Masters Custom are sold in shell packs and in components. Nine high gloss lacquer finishes are available including #100 *Wine Red, #102 *Natural, #103 Piano Black, #122 *Black Mist, #151 *Platinum Mist, #152 *Antique Gold, #153 *Sunrise Fade, and #154 *Midnight Fade, and #160 *Silver Sparkle.
